What is this?
This is a companion site to my "how to make a website like it's 1999" series.
Back in 1999 the ISP you connected with would provide a small website allocation, so this is the main host of that. Alas TheaNet is not real.
Right now it just does web hosting, but maybe one day I'll add email which won't work well because of spam reasons.
Also it lives on a server in my living room, because in 1999 nobody could afford co-lo.
But this site uses modern HTML and CSS!
It also uses a modern web server and operating system, SSL, and a CDN. Because it's not really 1999 and the modern internet is a scary place.
I really don't want to battle with table-based layouts and quirks mode rendering for a novelty site.
Also I'm so very glad we don't have to worry about the web-safe colours anymore.
Can I sign up?
If you ask nicely. After all, it is a multi-user system.
